If there is one game that would really attract millions of fans to get them to place their bets online, that would be the game of football. The straight bets are simple kind of wagers. When you place a straight bet, this means that you are betting on just one football game. The parlay bets are the opposite of the straight bets. This means that when you place parlay bets, you are actually placing wagers on multiple games of the same ticket. This is why straight bets are simple. When you place such bet, you could either be making a side bet or a total bet. This means that when you place your straight bet, you are picking a team. So, for example Argentina is playing against Spain, you would either place your wager on Argentina or Spain. Football games have their point total. Point total is actually the number of points scored by both teams. When you place straight bets, you could also either place a bet over or below the point total.

Placing Parlays Football Bets

As mentioned, parlay bets are wagers that you place on multiple teams in one ticket. For instance, when you place a bet on Argentina in the FIFA World Cup and then you place a bet over the point total, you actually place two kinds of bets on the same ticket. This type of sports betting is called parlays betting. The advantage of this kind of betting is that you get more chances of winning a lot of money. The drawback, however, is that winning is harder when you have a lot of wagers on your ticket because parlays bet is usually an all or nothing kind of wager. Unfortunately, if one wager fails, the other wagers follow suit.

Football betting is fun. Watching the NFL or the World Cup is even more exciting if you are betting on the games' outcome. If you place a wager, the victory of your team would also mean a lot of money for you. In this manner, football betting really does give a new meaning to your favorite sports.
